Katy Perry, Adele, and Kanye West Top VMA Nominations

The biggest party of the year airs Sunday, August 28, at 9 p.m. ET/PT at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. The biggest name in nominees is Katy Perry, who is nominated for nine moon men including Best Pop Video and Best Collaboration. Behind the California Gurl stand British pop singer, Adele, with seven nominations for “Rolling in the Deep”. Also with seven bids stands Kanye West for his hit “All of the Lights”. For you Beyonce, Gaga, and Nicki Minaj fans expect the trio to battle for a win with three nominations for “Who Run the World (Girls)” “Born This Way” and “Super Bass”. Hitting the main stage will be Chris Brown, Lil’ Wayne, and Adele.

The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards will premiere LIVE August 28, in Los Angeles at 9 p.m.
